WACO, Texas – Baylor's women's tennis team closed a two-day event with Texas by sweeping three doubles matches and splitting six singles decisions Saturday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
A day after taking five of six matches on the doubles court vs. the Longhorns at the H-E-B Baylor vs. Texas Shootout, the Bears continued their dominance winning all three matchups to start the morning. Anastasia Kharitonova teamed up with Angelina Shakhraichuk, Kristina Sorokolet paired with Audrey Boch-Collins and Alicia Herrero Linana tagged up with Mel Krywoj to take doubles wins vs. Texas.
On the singles court, Livia Kraus, Shakhraichuk and Jessica Hinojosa each took victories over the Longhorns while Kristina Sorokolet beat teammate Hannah Pinto in the seventh singles match of the day.
Kraus and Sorokolet each extended personal win streaks to three matches in singles.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Baylor went 8-1 on the doubles court in the two-day event vs. Texas.
• The Bears took 7 of 11 singles matches vs. the Longhorns Friday and Saturday.
