As expected, Andre Drummond’s time with the Cleveland Cavaliers is at an end.

The team announced in a press release on Friday that it and Drummond had agreed to a buyout of his contract. It’s unclear how much the buyout is for, but it will make Drummond a free agent now vs. at the end of the season when his contract expires.

“I want to thank Andre for his contributions to our team both on and off the court, and for his professionalism and mutual cooperation as we navigated through this process with him and his representation,” Cavs GM Koby Altman said, per the release. “We have great respect for Andre as a person and a player here in Cleveland and we are happy to have reached an outcome that is in the best interest of both Andre and our team. We wish him and his family all the best in the future.”

Drummond was acquired by the Cavs from the Pistons in a deal at the last trade deadline and ended up playing 33 games for Cleveland, averaging 21.8 points and 16.8 rebounds per game while with the team. He’s expected to receive interest from a slew of teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics.
