Chargers News: Isaac Rochell signs one-year deal with Colts - Bolts From The Blue

The Chargers continue to see an exodus of the players drafted from the Anthony Lynn era as defensive end Isaac Rochell is reportedly signing a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Colts. The new was first broke by Adam Schefter.

Rochell was the team’s seventh-round pick back in 2017, the same long-standing class that spent three years intact on the roster before the 2020 season arrived.

In his four years with the Chargers, Rochell has accumulated 74 total tackles,10 tackles-for-loss, 9.5 sacks, three pass deflections, as well as a lone interception and a safety forced.

His best season came in 2018 when started three of 16 games played, recording a career-high five sacks and six tackles-for-loss. This past season, Rochell started a high mark of six games in place of both Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa, finishing with 2.5 sacks a single TFL.

Rochell was always a reliable presence on the line and his infectious personality will certainly be missed within the locker room. This move now leaves the Chargers with an even shallower defensive line. As things stand, 2020 UDFAs Jessie Lemonier and Joe Gaziano are the only two ends still listed on the roster behind Joey Bosa.
