SEATTLE, Wash. – The USC baseball team stayed hot Sunday afternoon, finishing off a sweep of Washington with an 11-3 win over the Huskies. The victory is the sixth in a row for the Trojans.

Jamal O'Guinn led the charge with four hits and two RBI as USC got strong performances at the plate and on the mound in the series finale, moving to 9-6 overall and 3-0 in Pac-12 play. Washington falls to 8-9, 0-3 with the loss. It was the first Pac-12 sweep for a Trojan squad since 2015 at Arizona (April 2-4).

After winning the first two games of the series, USC carried its momentum into Sunday's game, scoring four runs in the top of the first. A day after his career-best five hit, four RBI day, John Thomas kept it rolling by driving in two runs on a double in the first. Tyresse Turner and Ben Ramirez also recorded RBI in the first as USC jumped out to a 4-0 lead.

O'Guinn made it a 5-0 game with a solo-shot in the fourth. He would add an RBI single in the seventh, helping the Trojans answer a three-run sixth inning by Washington.

Alex Cornwell held the Huskies in check for most of the afternoon before giving up the three runs and exiting in the sixth. Still, the Trojan lefty finished with 5.1 innings pitched, scattering seven hits and a walk while striking out four to pick up the win. Ethan Hoopingarner came in to get the final two outs of the sixth and then tossed a scoreless seventh, stranding two runners in the process to maintain a comfortable 7-3 advantage for USC. Quentin Longrie and Brian Gursky finished things off by each tossing a scoreless relief inning.

The Trojans put an exclamation point on the weekend with four runs in the ninth inning. USC loaded the bases, then got a two-run single from Rhylan Thomas and two-run double from Tyresse Turner.
