Metro Detroit weather: Mild week ahead with rain chances - WDIV ClickOnDetroit

with.indah.link

Hope you had a great Easter weekend and end of Passover!  And what a weekend it was, weather-wise!  We sure can’t complain about Mother Nature’s timing on bringing in the good stuff.  I was at the Tigers game yesterday, and it sure felt great sitting out there.

Today won’t be as pretty, but we should start the day with at least partial sunshine before shower and thunderstorm chances increase late morning through early evening.  It will not rain that entire time, but there will be some downpours part of the day, so be sure to have an umbrella handy if you’ll be out and about.  Highs continue mild, with mid 60s (17 to 18 degrees Celsius) for the heart of the area…warmer to the south and cooler in the Thumb.  Southeast wind at 5 to 10 mph.

Today’s sunrise is at 7:09 a.m., and today’s sunset is at 8:04 p.m.

Any evening showers and thunderstorms should end early, leaving us mostly cloudy for the remainder of the night.  Lows in the mid 40s (8 degrees Celsius).  East wind at 3 to 6 mph.

Becoming partly cloudy and warmer on Tuesday, with highs in the mid 70s (23 degrees Celsius).

Mostly cloudy Tuesday night, and very mild as lows only drop into the mid 50s (13 degrees Celsius).  That’s our long-term average HIGH right now!

Partly cloudy on Wednesday, with highs again in the mid 70s (24 degrees Celsius).

Increasing clouds Wednesday night and continued mild, with lows in the low to mid 50s (11 to 12 degrees Celsius).

Mostly cloudy on Thursday with showers developing.  Highs in the low 70s (21 to 22 degrees Celsius).

Shower chances continue Thursday night into Friday, with lows Thursday night in the low to mid 50s (11 to 12 degrees Celsius), and highs Friday in the upper 60s (20 degrees Celsius).

Weekend Outlook

We should get partial sunshine for the first half of the day Saturday, then clouds increase.  Chance for a shower later in the day.  Highs in the mid to upper 60s (19 degrees Celsius).

Showers are likely Saturday night, with lows in the mid 40s (8 degrees Celsius).

We’ll probably wake up to some showers Sunday morning, but they’ll end and we’ll hopefully be dry for the afternoon. Highs in the mid 60s (17 to 18 degrees Celsius).

Obviously, the weekend is still quite a ways off, so the rain timing could change.  But this is how I see it today.  Stay tuned…
