JONESTOWN, Pa. – After extensive medical consultation, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series rookie Brock Zearfoss will be sidelined for the next two weeks due to lingering concussion symptoms.

Zearfoss first experienced symptoms following a crash at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss., on March 12.

“I just haven’t been feeling the best, so I wanted to take some time and figure out what was going on,” said Zearfoss, who capped his recent weekend of competition with a pair of World of Outlaws top-10s at Attica Raceway Park and Sharon Speedway. “I was fortunate enough to get in contact with one of the best concussion doctors in the country. It was determined that I am still suffering from some lingering side effects. It’s in my best interest to take a few weeks off, heal completely, and come back better than ever.

“I feel like I am letting my team, sponsors, fans, and World of Outlaws down, but this is something I have to do,” Zearfoss continued. “I hope to be back for Knoxville in a couple weeks.”

If all goes according to plan, Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will return to World of Outlaws competition with the two-day Brownells Big Guns Bash at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on June 11-12. Zearfoss owns eight World of Outlaws top-10s thus far this year and will enter medical leave ninth in the title chase.
