OSHKOSH - Oshkosh Corp. announced Friday that it has won a $942.9 million contract with the U.S. Army to incorporate a new weapons system into an infantry carrier vehicle.
Oshkosh Defense, a division of Oshkosh Corp., is teaming up with Pratt Miller and Israel-based Rafael Advanced Defense Systems to integrate a 30mm medium caliber weapon system into the Army's Stryker troop carriers.
Oshkosh Corp. acquired Pratt Miller, a technology company for motorsport and ground vehicles, in the first quarter of 2021 for $115 million, according to a Pratt Miller press release.

The system integration onto three brigade combat teams will "provide precision lethality capability to the Army's Stryker Brigade Combat Team," according to the Friday press release by Oshkosh Corp.
Oshkosh Corp. competed in testing and evaluation of the weapons system at Aberdeen Test Center in Maryland for this contract.
This contract comes in the wake of several contract successes for Oshkosh Corp. This includes a multibillion-dollar contract with the U.S. Postal Service in February to manufacture new mail carrier delivery vehicles as well as a three-year extension for another contract with the Army valued at $146.8 million announced in May.
